These two striped sneakers just hit NYC go-to shop Daves Quality Meat, and rumor has it that they’re the product of a collaboration between adidas and R.E.M. front man Michael Stipe*.

Stipe a legend in his own right designed the sneakers to play off his last name. Stipe = Stripes get it? Both the Superstar and Stan Smith are available now. It’s the end of the world as we know it, check detailed shots below.

*Disclaimer: we’re not sure if this is an actual collabo, but we did it anyway. We’re actually pretty sure its just a typo on the Dave’s Quality Meat blog. Whatever, we’re still dealing with inauguration hangover, and this is much funnier than a straight “go buy this” post.
