Last year, Active Ride Shop, the leader in skate e-stores, developed Drop Sneakers Not Bombs—an exclusive footwear collaboration collection where a portion of proceeds went to non-profit organizations that aimed to help children suffering through a violent civil war in Uganda.
After the success of the campaign in 2007, this year Active tapped acclaimed painter/illustrator/graphic designer Taka Hayashi to lend his design prowess to two different Vans models to be part of the DSNB campaign. The result? Hayashi went hard by hooking up this J-Lay Mid with pony hair, baseball glove leather and his artwork on the inner lining.
