Nike Air Blazer ACG Mid - Awesome for the first time

The Nike Blazer is one of those shoes that you either hate or that you really hate. The shoe is narrow, uncomfortable, it’s a weird height, and it’s overall just very clunky. But then Nike went and ACG‘d the bitch. The re-tooling of the sole and toe cap makes the Nike Air Blazer ACG Mid more interesting, and the midsole has Air, which makes it much more comfortable and wearable.

Up until now, it’s been mostly hippie or hood colorways of the shoe, but next week look for these brown suede/red laces Nike Air Blazer ACG Mids to drop at key accounts for $98. By key accounts we mean that the shoe isn’t super limited, but you’re going to have to hit a boutique, not a big chain.

The colorway is dope now that winter is upon us, and the suede used on these is super buttery. Check the jump for additional photos, and plan on copping. When you can grab a pair of Blazers that look like this, know that you have hit jackpot.

Vans V224 Holiday Pack

Oh shit, more gold kicks! Vans goes all-in with this “Holiday Pack” that we’re thinking may be exclusive to overseas retailers. Instead of using the obvious Sk8-Hi silo, Vans chose to go with the more under-the-radar V224. Even though you’d have to twitter your pen pal in Japan to get ‘em, they’re still exciting to look at. Besides these gold-plated make-ups, check the silver-surfer joints below…Props to High Snob for the look.

adidas Skateboarding x BJ Betts

True story, adidas skateboarding loves artists more than Swizz Beatz. Next month (January), the skate chapter of the three stripes will release this BJ Betts capsule collection, which consists of two sneakers and a line of t-shirts.

Betts hooked up a Bucktown ST—a relatively unknown skate silhouette that’s pulls from a basketball sneaker mold—and the slim, Ciero Mid (pictured above) that’s not only built for skating, but as adidas describes “fitting into the toe-clip of your bike”. Right. Either way, the tee’s aren’t too shabby, and we’ve seen much worse art-on-sneakers as of late. Check the line below…

Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi SG Strap

It’s almost Christmas, and everyone needs some much needed time off from work, and from the Kanyeezy hype, which by the way has a new release date of April 1 (or so a new rumor monger at Portland HQ told us). So that means you still have a bit to go.

These Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi SG Straps, though, drop in February. They have some Mr. West feel to them, no? With these, the Terry Kennedy Society sneakers, and the Yeezy in April, there are now some very real fashion options if you decide to take that lunar vacation.

Look for the Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi SG Straps drop in white, pink, silver, gold, and black in February, for $90 at Footaction and reebok.com. For April, a red and purple version will hit the streets. Check the jump for images. A little femmy? Or a little awesome?

LA Gear Launches, Spring Preview

L.A. Gear KAJ in Gold

The Notorious 80s and 90s brand, L.A. Gear, has just been bought up by a new set of garmentos keen on taking your sneaker-nostalgia money. Isaac from Sportie L.A. is the first retailer to co-sign on with the brand, and the retro silhouettes will range in price from $100-120. That’s a lot of money for non-Nike Jordan rips, but there are some of you out there looking for this kind of thing. So, L.A. hipsters, it’s up to you. If you buy these up, the brand will go on. If not, it’s off to the Salvation Army.

Play it cool this holiday, and hit the jump to see the full spring line. We cracked the company site and got the shoes that the other guys didn’t. Hehe. You know the L.A. Lights are coming for Fall. Happy Friday homies, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

FILA Ninety6 “Grant Hill” Suns Colorway

Grant Hill ain’t getting that A-Rab money anymore, but FILA is definitely going to try. The company is re-appropriating the former player’s famous signature model, but why call them the “Grant Hills” if you can just take the money for yourself?

You’ve probably come across the Reed Space/Staple Design colorway, but this Phoenix Suns version drops in the next couple weeks. Check back at the store on fila.com, and cop the FILA Ninety6 for $90 when they drop this month. Hit the jump for detail shots.

Converse x UNDFTD Poor Man’s Weapon

Converse will be dropping this UNDFTD Special Make-Up of it’s Poor Man’s Weapon this February at UNDFTD stores. The shoe was originally set for earlier (Vapors had it on the cover of its sneaker issue back in September, and then it was planned for Jan), but the shoes took a little while to get put together, and UNDFTD didn’t want it to conflict with its other drops.

The Poor Man’s Weapon is a new lifestyle silhouette that creates a vulcanized Chuck Taylor-esque hybrid of the Original Weapon, and this version takes inspiration from flight jackets with a tough padded nylon. Hit the jump for additional photos of the Weapon, which will be a run of 700 pairs, dropping in February (think Valentine’s Day weekend) for $75.

Creative Recreation Aims For Boot Respect With The Montana

The boot game is getting a little crowded. Obviously, Timberland is still the brick-weather favorite, but with Nike going hard (what-up Wale), and Creative Rec dropping successful make-ups like this Montana, this year’s hiking king is going to be harder to predict than an AFC East champion.

After a lukewarm range of boots last year, it seems as though CRec has re-tooled and is ready to directly compete with Timberland’s new forward-thinking line Abbington. How do they stack up? Would you drop $166 on these? Let us know in the comments, and if you’re feeling them look out for them in stores later this month.
