Jeremy Scott on what it means to be an Original, for adidas.

Nike is bringing back the Presto, which means a comfortable Summer is in the works. Check for them in April. [Atmos]

Y-3 plays the name game and pulls the “What’s the wierdest thing we can call it?” Card. Yojhi delivers with the Hejarklack Low. [High Snobiety]

Nike is bringing back the Air Pegasus ‘89. Nice, in pink! [Complex]

The Huarache Light Bursts are sick. Check the latest colorway to leak, grey/grey, going in on Jordan. [Kicks on Fire]

BBC/Ice Cream makes a desireable sneaker! Pretty sick “Space Pattern” take on a Chuck. [Standard ATL]

White/white pebble leather Nike Blazer. [Sneaker Files]

The new Sneaker Freaker Magazine has a feature on Nike ACG. The Sneaker Freaker website has it for free if you don’t have the cash/access. [Sneaker Freaker]

More adidas Consortium stuff. Cool, I guess. [Hypebeast]

Pucci fell off as a fashion label, but just got themselves a new in-house rockstar. Matthew Williamson is stepping up and teaming in with Nike. Success? Eh? [Vault Harlem]

Sneaker News: February 23rd, 2009

Some feelings got caught when we compared the new Supreme shoes to the Huf Doughboys. Supreme released profile shots so everyone could see what they really look like. Shut it. [High Snobiety]

Check this month’s bottom of the barrel Nike SB releases, available now at CCS (if you’re too scared to go into the skate shops and get the real ones). [CtotheJL]

A Bathing Ape is dropping these adidas Superstar-inspired kicks. If you grab them, please leave your address in the comments so we can come to your house and punch you in the face. [Sneaker Files]

The Australian Brand Perks and Mini is known for crazy colors, prints, and some of the sickest “streetwear” in the game. The new low tops for summer are a little nutso, but have an, “I think they’re still kinda sick” hit to them. [High Snobiety]

How do you make the Lebron Six’s summer-appropriate? Make them white and perf them up! [Kicks on Fire]

We showed you the Burgundy pack last week, check the new copper Supra NS pack. [Hypebeast]

Bottega Veneta’s new slip-ons are reminicent (?) of Vans since forever, but more expensive and probably fancier. [High Snobiety]

Supreme Inspired By DVS?

Was the almighty Supreme sneaky-peaking at DVS’s lookbook? Probably not, but while we were browsing Supreme’s forthcoming Spring/Summer 2009 collection we saw this ambiguous black sneaker and immediately thought of the HUF x DVS Doughboys pack.

We’ll leave it up to you to decide on the swag-jacking (there’s a lot of black/gum lowtops out there these days), but these two guys do look like brothers from the same mother, from the top at least.

Raf by Raf Simons black leather low velcro. Very cool, very expensive, and slightly hard to pull off. $294 now at OAK. [OAK NYC]

We could care less about what’s coming out in Holiday 2009 (summer is almost here!), but if you do, check the Air Jordan 12 White/Red Retro slated for October. [The Shoe Game]

It seems that the adidas SLVR line is up and cracking. Check out this “7 Pieces” low top. Nice! [Today and Tomorrow]

Finally we get to see the Black/Red Air Jordan 2009. Nice Kicks thinks its an April release. We checked with Micheal, and Nice Kicks is correct. [Nice Kicks]

Supreme will be ripping off the DVS Doughboy for Summer ‘09. [Hypebeast]

Vans Vault Spring 2009 Collection

Vans just posted up its Spring 09 Vault collection, before anyone else could do the usual “leak shitty photos and report the information incorrectly” procedure that’s become sneaker-blogging protocol.

Vans has posted its Spring colleciton in a month-by-month breakdown of each release, so head over to the Vans Vault site to check everything out. Yup, we spotted it first and have our RSS game fully functional this morning.

It looks like the whole, “I’m sad, I’m wearing only grey, black, and white” tip is over come summer. Common Projects is hitting hard with vibrant leathers for the thaw. [Hypebeast]

Since we started with Common Projects, lets keep the whole “cool sneakers that are insanely expensive” thing going and have a look at Balenciaga’s kicks ready for Spring consumption. [High Snobiety]

Nike SB is bringing back the Ice colorway, although unfortunately instead of a re-release they’re bringing through the Dunk Mid SB. Eh? Close enough we thinks. [Nice Kicks]

Converse Jack Purcells for J. Crew, and available now for purchase. Very nice. [J.Crew]

It seems that the stream of LeBron Six colorways will never stop, but the St. Vincent/St. Mary colorway is a repeat collectible each year. [Kicks on Fire]

These Converse Marine Sea Crisp sneakers are close to being awesome. It’s best that they get perfected in Japan first, though. [Zozo]

Nate Robinson’s Krytonite Nike Foamposite Lites from the All-Star Game are on eBay. Oh shit. [eBay]

SBTG just launched a Made to Order collection. Not sure what you would do with a custom pair of kicks, but if you have money to blow (Mike Shinoda) check it out. [Freshness]

Japanese New Balance P785H. The chances of them coming across the way aren’t high, but worth a click. [Mischief]

Spike Lee is getting Paaaaid. Do the Right Thing Jordan 1s. [Sneaker Files]

Usugrow x Vans 2009 Spring: black leathers, engravings, and skulls. Sweet. [Hypebeast]

If you like Justice, you’re going to be into the Gram 2009 Spring/Summer collection. Available at Revolve soon. [Freshness]

Be Positive footwear: don’t know a ton about it, but it’s Italian and the new satin chukkas are cool. [Slam x Hype]

Rockport x S.L.A.T.E Tradeshow

Apocalypse now? Well, that depends on what you think when footwear brands collaborate with…tradeshows. For the opening of the S.L.A.T.E show in Vegas, Rockport hooked up this Ghille Moc High. Tradeshows often do this, decking out workers in retailer footwear, but this is the first time that the footwear is being billed as a collab.

This sneaker won’t go on sale, but will be gifted to the show’s staff and a few key influencers today and through the week. We can hope and pray we’re on that exclusive list, but alas we don’t do too much influencing from Mom’s basement. Check detail flicks by hitting “Read More” homie.

The Gourmet Otto. [Hypebeast]

For whatever reason, Nike consistently comes through each year and makes a super shitty Black History Month Air Force 1. You’d think this year they’d try extra hard, with everything that has gone down and all. Um. Choose your own response. [Sneaker News]

Check these new detail shots of the etnies Plus x Disney collab. [Sneaker Freaker]

You knew this was coming (?). The first hybrid Hyperdunk. It’s called the Nike Hypermax. [Sneaker Files]

Here’s those shoes that Kid Cudi got tasered for not wearing. Reebok x Orchard Street. Can you blame him? [Sneaker Freaker]

The Nike Haystack Pack is like a vintage luxury shoe/sneaker? [Kicks on Fire]
