It seems that Mondrian is going to be big this summer. Check this leak from the DC LIFE collection to deliver sometime in August. Primary color blockings, oh my! [Vagant]

Got $382 dollars burning a hole in your painted-on skinny skin jeans? Cop these Y-3 Honja His at OAK. [OAK NYC]

Fall New Balance leak = some good, some bad. [Hypebeast]

The new Diamond Supply Co. x DVS collaboration ain’t no Tiffany Dunk, but it’s still got some legs for the skate youth. [CtotheJL]

Vans Zapato Del Barco. It’s not a deck shoe mid, but it’s still cool. If you have a Mac, make a sticky that says: “April: buy Vans Zapato Del Barco.” [Sneaker Files]

Deep Thoughts with Ryan Babenzien

Sole BLVD will be teaming up with a variety of tastemakers and industry veterans over the next few weeks to give their thoughts on the game, and what’s really good. Hopefully they’ll throw a few linesheets and some free shit our way! First up is a little one man chat from Ryan Babenzien, the Director of Entertainment Marketing at Puma North America. When you see a famous person rocking Clydes, or get invited to one of those Puma dance parties, its probably because of him. Anyway, here’s his take on life as of this morning:

“I should probably take this opportunity to let you know who I am. I run all the Entertainment Marketing at Puma. And my brother, who’s also supposed to be contributing to the fine site that is SOLEblvd, is the Creative Director of Supreme. We run in the same game, although at very different ends of the spectrum.”

Hit the jump to read some thoughts on why you might want to switch your Dunks out for a pair of Puma Baskets, and why ripping on the kids is passe.

Supra Spring 2009 Footwear

Supra’s P.R team has proved to be pretty savvy. In addition to your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper always rocking a Skytop or Vaider, the brand is starting to figure out how this Internet game works.

Instead of waiting for some dude blogging from his basement to leak shitty pics of the Spring 2009 line, Supra put its full range on its site with proper information. Sorry socially-nervous sneaker bloggers you may win some, but you just lost one. Check some standouts from the new line below, then click here to see all the shoes dropping soon.

Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Tallac Lite (ACG)

Nike Air Zoom Tallac Lite ACG

This year (2009) celebrates the 20th year of Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) category, and some classic Nike silos are getting the ACG treatment. But that’s not all, folks! We’re going to be seeing the re-release of some of the all time ACG bangers from the Nike Sportswear camp, including this O.G. colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Tallac Lite, which dropped last Satruday at the Nike flagship, 21 Mercer, in NYC.

It’s gonna take some fashion sense and some balls to pull these off, but if you’re stomping around in the cold these days, especially in brick-ass NYC at tonight’s Red Bull Snowboard contest, these are the ticket. Cop now for $112, and stomp your way through any amount of snow, sleet, hail, and hooker spit that might cross your path on your way to the East River (they’re insulated and waterproof!). Check the jump for detail shots, and the Nike Sportswear site for additional retail locations.

Sneaker News: February 4, 2009

At the end of the day, sometimes we just want classic silhouettes in wearable colors. Here’s a simple Air Max 90 that should be U.S-bound in a few weeks. [KOF]

Yo Jeff Staple, these black-on-black Sea Stars crap on your Converse Pigeon design. Isn’t that ironic. [Ctothejl]

Reebok continues the Reverse Jam overload. Two new colorways have hit overseas as part of a “Splatter” pack. [Hypebeast]

Lakai caters to Japanese skaters (?) with two sick colorups of the Telford. What’s up no love for the U.S? Oh well, back to Dunks. [Nice Kicks]

This new Converse All Star Owari-Shippo Hi glows in the dark, which means they’re just like the Yeezys. Only joking they’re nothing like them at all. [High Snobiety]

Nike Sportswear Air Force II High

Nike Air Force II High Black/Yellow

The Air Force II never caught on the way its predecessor did, leaving many footwear designers scratching their heads. Why, though? Is it because it’s impossible to improve upon perfection? Excuse us while we throw up, we lack the gene for sneaker nostalgia.

Ha, kidding. Air Force 1s are great, and Nike Air Force II silhouettes come in interesting colorups from time to time, making the shoe cop-worthy. Especially now that high-tops are cool and that the Sporstwear division of the swoosh is taking this silo into its own hands. Check this Wu-Tang-colored Air Force II Hi which just hit boutiques around the US, including the Nike Sportswear flagship 21 Mercer in NYC for $82. Head over to nikesportswear for more info, or check th jump for detail shots of the shoes.

Mickey Factz Talks Supra’s And Nah Right Hate

Sure Jay-Z may have rocked the Gold Skytops in Rhianna’s “Umbrella Video” but there’s no bigger co-signer of Supra than Bronx-bred rapper Mickey Factz.

In this exclusive SOLE Blvd interview, the Supra king speaks on people hating on him for wearing gold kicks, interaction with fans, and how he “assited in the branding of Supra.” Press play.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Taxi”

Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Taxi”

The Knicks are going nuts this week, playing the Lakers, Cavs, and Celtics all in one go as a ploy to fill up Madison Square Garden. Don’t worry though MSG marketing team: once the Knicks sign Lebron in 2010, your problems are over.

Think of all the crazy product Nike is going to make when that finally happens! Nuts. Lebron already has like 40 SMUs and the season is only half way over. Jeez. Anyway, the young King will be wearing these Taxi-inspired Zoom LeBron VIs when he hits the court tomorrow. Using NYC Taxi colors is an obvious design inspiration for an NYC shoe (and a little dated if you ask us), but it worked for Wu-Tang and Lance Armstrong, and will probably work for LeBJimmy.

If you want a pair, cop in NYC at Footlocker locations in Times Square, 34th Street in Manhattan, Fordham Road in the Bronx, Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, or at House of Hoops in Harlem starting Thursday. For detail shots, hit the jump.

Kanye West’s Favorite Jordans: Aqua 8’s

We’re calling it. Kanye West is obsessed with the Air Jordan Aqua 8s as much as he’s obsessed with auto-tune. Today photos surfaced of Mr. West walking into his car after a workout session with Jonah Hill and for the 14857 time, he’s rocking a crisp pair of the Aqua 8s.

Whether he’s in street clothes, performing, playing ball or in weightlifting mode, the mullet-man seems to prefer this specific Jordan over anything else. Dare we say, even the Yeezys? Walk with us through a brief photo history of Kanye stomping around the aquas.

UPDATE: Kicks On Fire also has a in-depth look at Kanye’s favorite Jordans. Click here.

Supra’s spring line showdown is up and ready for your peepers. Enough with the Internet, though. Get that money out and stimulate the economy for crying out loud! [High Snobiety]

Raf Simons Half Blocked Military Trainer. Holy wow these are awesome. [Hypebeast]

The new adidas Consortium product has hit Japanese sites, so you can expect it at stateside boutiques this weekend. They’re…OK. [VA/XLarge]

Sneaker News is reporting that the Jordan 1 turquoise ripstops are going to be undergoing a materials change to metallic patent leather. Bullshit. They are not changing, and are moving ahead as scheduled. Hit the link to see a shitty fake sample though. [Sneaker News]

New images of the Vans x Dennis McNett sneaker pack #2. Scary! [High Snobiety]

This week’s edition of Kicks on Court captures Jay Hova (Busy P Air Force 1s) and Spike Lee (Knicks SMU Spiz’ikes) along with the Lakers playing in NY last night. [Nice Kicks]
