Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Tallac Lite (ACG)

Nike Air Zoom Tallac Lite ACG

This year (2009) celebrates the 20th year of Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) category, and some classic Nike silos are getting the ACG treatment. But that’s not all, folks! We’re going to be seeing the re-release of some of the all time ACG bangers from the Nike Sportswear camp, including this O.G. colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Tallac Lite, which dropped last Satruday at the Nike flagship, 21 Mercer, in NYC.

It’s gonna take some fashion sense and some balls to pull these off, but if you’re stomping around in the cold these days, especially in brick-ass NYC at tonight’s Red Bull Snowboard contest, these are the ticket. Cop now for $112, and stomp your way through any amount of snow, sleet, hail, and hooker spit that might cross your path on your way to the East River (they’re insulated and waterproof!). Check the jump for detail shots, and the Nike Sportswear site for additional retail locations.

Nike Sportswear Air Force II High

Nike Air Force II High Black/Yellow

The Air Force II never caught on the way its predecessor did, leaving many footwear designers scratching their heads. Why, though? Is it because it’s impossible to improve upon perfection? Excuse us while we throw up, we lack the gene for sneaker nostalgia.

Ha, kidding. Air Force 1s are great, and Nike Air Force II silhouettes come in interesting colorups from time to time, making the shoe cop-worthy. Especially now that high-tops are cool and that the Sporstwear division of the swoosh is taking this silo into its own hands. Check this Wu-Tang-colored Air Force II Hi which just hit boutiques around the US, including the Nike Sportswear flagship 21 Mercer in NYC for $82. Head over to nikesportswear for more info, or check th jump for detail shots of the shoes.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Taxi”

Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Taxi”

The Knicks are going nuts this week, playing the Lakers, Cavs, and Celtics all in one go as a ploy to fill up Madison Square Garden. Don’t worry though MSG marketing team: once the Knicks sign Lebron in 2010, your problems are over.

Think of all the crazy product Nike is going to make when that finally happens! Nuts. Lebron already has like 40 SMUs and the season is only half way over. Jeez. Anyway, the young King will be wearing these Taxi-inspired Zoom LeBron VIs when he hits the court tomorrow. Using NYC Taxi colors is an obvious design inspiration for an NYC shoe (and a little dated if you ask us), but it worked for Wu-Tang and Lance Armstrong, and will probably work for LeBJimmy.

If you want a pair, cop in NYC at Footlocker locations in Times Square, 34th Street in Manhattan, Fordham Road in the Bronx, Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, or at House of Hoops in Harlem starting Thursday. For detail shots, hit the jump.

Buy This Now: Nike ACG x Pendleton Blazer

If you’re still trekking around in your Authentics, it’s time to make the switch to something a little more winter-friendly. While Timberland and Red Wing are the obvious choices when it comes to cold weather, Nike’s re-vamped ACG line continues to impress us.

A bunch of sneaker-boots have dropped in the past few months, but this Blazer collaboration with trusted outerwear company Pendleton is this season’s standout. The uppers of the sneaker consist of original Pendleton wool, and the rigid sole (hit the jump) will make sure you don’t bust your ass on black ice. If you’re looking to get a pair, they just went on sale HERE for $150.

Buy This Now: Supra Soprano

We’re not sure if Jim Greco is a badass, or just freakishly weird. The skater/rocker has always been a little left of center, and now he has shoes that fall right in line with his rep. Daily Drop points out that Greco’s most flashy make-up of his signature shoe just became available over at Factory 413. If you think you got the stones to pull them off, rock out with your laces out. Get them HERE for $125.

Gravis Fall ‘09 preview (Trade Show)

Gravis Fall ‘09 Preview

We just acquired these photos taken at the Gravis booth at last week’s Agenda tradeshow in San Diego. What you see here (and after the jump) is the Gravis Footwear Fall 2009 line, and there are some sneakers in here that actually look pretty dope! Gravis was known for having one of the biggest fall-offs of 2007, and since then we haven’t really heard, or seen, much from the brand that vaguely interested us.

It looks like the design crew got in the kitchen, though, and started cooking. While some of the product is still business as usual, new styles are looking sharp for Fall 2009. Expect this stuff to hit retail mid-August (we’ll get you the correct names and prices by then). Hopefully this is a turning point for the brand and we can look forward to good things in the future from the Burton-owned action sports footwear crew. Hit the jump to see all kinds of stuff.

DC Admiral Lemar and Dauley Double Label™ Project

You might remember Lemar and Dauley’s first Double Label™ Project sneaker, a Volcano that the brand colored up from DC’s skate line. On February 1st, the two go at it again, this time working with a silhouette from DC’s LIFE collection, the Admiral.

Lemar and Dauley
took the name of the shoe literally, and used “Admiral” to inspire the use of regatta sailboats in the design. L&D then took that idea a step further and imagined a metropolitan individual (city boy) placed in a beach bum mentality (so, like a poor man’s boat race. Maybe like a remote control boat race in Central Park). Key details to note are the tone on tone writing of Lemar and Dauley across the heels (a nod to the way boat hulls are detailed with names) and the houndstooth lining (an iconic fabric from the Lemar and Dauley line). A lot of thoughts here, but it seems to work. But don’t listen to us, hit the jump for some detail shots, and decide for yourself.

The DC Admiral Lemar and Dauley Double Label™ Project hits stores on February 1st, and retails for $150.

HUF x DVS Doughboy

The HUF x DVS Doughboy was a colorway originally done for European markets, and since it did so well across the way, DVS plans on releasing it to the US this coming February. The Doughboy is an oft-overlooked style, but with it’s pocket-friendly price point of $50, we’re all over this one.

Look for the sneakers to drop on the Huf store site, hufsf.com, and on dvsshoes.com in the next couple of weeks. Check the jump for watermark free detail shots of the full run.
