Nike x Starks Air Force 1 Premium All Star Quickstrike

Nike x Starks Air Force 1 Premium All Star Quickstrike

Nike doubled-up on the Starks/Clark Kent Air Force One release today, and dropped these black/orange/purple lows as a Quickstrike release (pretty limited, but more than the Tier Zero joints). The deal with these is basically the same as the make-ups we posted earlier—Starks came in and spearheaded the design, and then Clark Kent finished them off with some Phoenix swag. If you’re looking to cop em’, check specialty boutiques with Nike accounts. See you in AZ. Detail shots after the jump.
$125, www.nikesportswear.com

Supra Drops A Limited Skytop At Zumiez?

Ding-dong: BS alert. We’re big fans of Supra over here at the BLVD but we’re a little too sharp to fall for the digital propaganda it’s pushing over at its website. The Cali-based skate brand posted this new colorway of this Skytop and made it a point to include that the sneaker was “limited and currently available at Zumiez.”

Limited anndddd at Zumiez? Oxymoron. According to wikipedia (the end-all-be-all for fact checking) there are over 300 Zumiez stores in 25 different states. That’s a lot of shelves, homies. We’re guessing you can find these pretty easily, but if you’re nervous you might miss out, run for the malls tomorrow.

Buy This Now: Y-3 Hayworth II Low

When it comes to Y-3 footwear, some fits can get a littttttle bit skinny. Luckily Yohji offers the Hayworth, the least fashion-y silhouette out of the bunch that drops in schemes that won’t get you laughed at. The high-tops have always hit for fans of Y-squared, but the brand isn’t half-assing the design on the lows either. These suede/nubuck make-ups just became available online are make for a solid pre-spring go-to. Get them for a pricey $270 Here.

DC Shoes Rips Off The Vans Half Cab?

Every streetwear brand doing a flannel is one thing, but when a big company tries to rip off the greatest skate shoe of all time, it needs to understand that there’s going to be backlash. Come on guys! DC Shoes just posted its Spring 2009 line-up on dcshoes.com and we couldn’t help but be alarmed by the similarities between the Smith 2.0 S model and Vans’ iconic Half Cab silhouette. Did someone from Vans defect? Were they “inspired” by the Half-Cab? Maybe none of the above, maybe all of the above, but if you thought no one was going to notice, you were mistaken. We’re always on patrol like Ricky Ross.

Ripping off Air Force 1s and Nike Dunks is common practice in the land of sneaker manufacturing, but jacking the Half Cab is a first. Maybe Ryan Smith just loved Caballero so much that he wanted his pro model to look exactly the same. Oh well. At least it’s not as bad as the Levi’s/Supra thing. Have a look for yourself after the jump.

Jeff Staple x Converse Frustration (Sea Star Hi)

It’s not easy being a sneaker collaboration super hero. According to Jeff Staple’s Twitter, the Converse x Staple Sea Star Hi was set to drop 2/7. It’s online at Colette already, ready to be bought up with the click of a mouse. Oops. So much for a coordinated global release.

But come on Jeff, this isn’t Nike. Converse has all kinds of holdups. Weren’t these shoes supposed to come out in early November? That’s what the October issue of Complex Magazine said, at least. Oh well, if you want to see the new Converse deck shoe mids (the style of Spring ‘09), check the jump.

Glow In The Dark Nike Coraline Dunks

Besides Kanye mania, these Coraline Dunks have been the talk of the blogosphere for the past several days. Designed by members of the Wieden + Kennedy squad (Rob Heppler and Gian Galang) the sneakers feature movie props like oversized animal lace locks and tails on the heel of the sneaker.

We’re not sure how wearable they are (tails, really?), but the fact that you’ll only be able to win them through Coraline.com has got sneaker-nerds pissing their tight pants. The movie opens February 6, and clues on how to score a pair will be given in the closing credits. Pay attention kiddies. More pics including a nice shot of the glow in the dark soles below…
